2011 Toyota Tundra Double Cap
Toyota has increased its power in the 2011 model pickup “Tundra” with 4.0-liter V6 standard engine. These truck models are also available with a choice of V8 engines, but the V6 engine is now offering dual independent variable valve intelligence (VVT-i) as a machine that has a greater power.Power is at increased up to 270 horsepower of 236 hp and 278 pound-feet of torque, up from 266 lb-ft at 2010 model year. V6 engine has roller rockers and hydraulic lift to improve performance and paired with 5-speed automatic transmission. Toyota also makes the trailer control standard on all models of size truck for model 2011.
Model “Tundra” is also available with engines 4.6 liter i-Force V8 with 310 hp power and torque 327 lb-ft of torque, which is new in 2010, and the V8 5.7-liter i-Force with the power of 381 hp and 401 lb-ft, the same engine as in the model this year.
Both have VVT-i technology and both are paired with six-speed automatic transmission.
2011 Toyota Tundra is offered in two grades (Tundra and Tundra Limited): three cab styles (Regular, Double Cab and Crew Max): three wheelbase lengths (126.8, 145.7 and 164.6 inches, depending on model and configuration): three bed lengths (78.7, 97.6 and for CrewMax only, 66.7-inches): and with three engine choices (one V6 and two V8’s).
The most luxurious package is the Platinum Package Limited CrewMax, with a hot seat, wood-style vents and sunroof. Tundra will be available in three cab styles, namely regular, double cab and CrewMax with three wheelbase.
