DeTomaso Ghepardo Price in UK

DeTomaso Ghepardo
The DeTomaso Ghepardo concept is a creation of Danish designer Frederik Tjellesen. The car originally featured in an article in the Danish car magazine Bil Magasinet, where it was used to suggest a new direction for the DeTomaso brand. Rumors of a return for the Italian manufacturer are gathering pace, and the company now has an official website and new logo.

The DeTomaso Ghepardo (Italian for Cheetah), takes its styling inspiration from the appearance of fitted Italian suits. The grey paintwork and purple trim elements are a direct reference to this influence, as are the razor sharp style lines, and lapel-like contours of the hood.

Other styling inspirations for the Ghepardo come from DeTomaso models of the past, including the Pantera and Mangusta.

Providing the motivation is a choice of two very different drivetrains.

Option one is a 3.5 litre V6 sourced from Ford. Tjellesen proposes that the twin-turbocharged engine will comfortably and reliably provide 465 horsepower to the rear wheels.

The second option is an electric powertrain which consists of four in-wheel electric motors, each providing 110 hp. For those who failed math class, that's 440 hp in total. The electricity is supplied by a methanol fuel cell stack located towards the rear of the car.
